Features: Sodium dithionite is a first-grade wet falmmable substance that decomposes on heating, dissolves in cold water, decomposes in hot water, and is insoluble in ethanol. Its aqueous solution is unstable in nature and has strong reducibility and is a strong reducing agent. It is easy to absorb oxygen and oxidize when exposed to the air. It is also easy to absorb moisture and deteriorate, and it can take oxygen agglomeration in the air and emit a sour taste.

Application: It is widely used in the textile industry for reducing dyeing, reduction cleaning, printing and decolorization, and as a bleaching of silk, wool, nylon and other fabrics. Because it does not contain heavy metals, the bleached fabric is very bright and not easy to fade. In various substances, it can be used for food bleaching, such as gelatin, sucross, candied fruit, and soap, animal(plant) oil, bamboo, porcelain clay bleaching and the like. It can also be used in organic synthesis, such as dyes, pharmaceticals as a reducing agent or bleach, sodium dithionite is the most suitable bleching agent for wood pulp paper.
